My Queen

This is Mullycoonz Eowyn (dob 24 July 2004).  I call her Ananda.  She is a fantastic mummy cat, still allowing her kittens to occasionally suckle from her right until the day they leave! 

She is a tortie-smoke and you can see from the picture above just how beautiful and mysterious she looks with her unique colouring. 

She is a gentle soul, but when she sees a butterfly or bird, she's transformed into a hunter!  Her favourite hobby is lying under a bush and basking in the hot sun, or climbing the pear tree - she's the best climber in the household.

She had a litter of 2 Maine Coon kittens this year on 6 June 2007.

Updated April 2008 - Ananda has tested NEGATIVE for the HCM gene mutation which means that she does not carry the known gene for Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy.  (The test was carried out by Washington State University's Veterinary Cardiac Genetic Laboratory.)

The Stud

The father cat for the current litter of kittens is Champion Noracoon Vespasian, owned by Fiona Nicholls of Koonikki Maine Coons.  His father, Verismo Britannicus was the winner of the Supreme.  He is a fantastic sire of kittens, famous for giving them excellent boning and that typically Maine Coon bomb-proof temperament.  Vespa, as he's known, is a classic red silver tabby with white.
